Our Mission
Founded in January 2025, MW Taichi & Wellness was born from a vision to integrate traditional Chinese martial arts with modern sports science. We aim to promote cultural understanding, physical vitality, and emotional resilience through the wisdom of Tai Chi and Qigong — making ancient practices relevant to today’s world.

Meet the Founder – Mengjun (Kate) Wang
Kate began her martial arts journey at the age of 6. By 13, she had joined the Hebei Provincial Wushu Team and began her lifelong study of Tai Chi at 14. With over 20 provincial titles and international gold medals, Kate is a world-class champion in Chinese martial arts. Her specialties include:
Tai Chi (Taiji)
Health Qigong (Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing)
Traditional weapons: broadsword, spear, staff, and sword
🎓 Professional Background
Kate holds:
A Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Ethnic Traditional Sports
A Master’s degree in Athletic Training (China)
A Master of Science in Sports Medicine (University of Pittsburgh)
She has over a decade of teaching experience, including work as a university instructor and clinical intern with UPMC Sports Medicine. Today, she teaches, judges, and researches the health effects of Chinese martial arts.
